Summary

Food PlugDo pickles make good wires? - It is a question we all wonder about (maybe?) Well you're going to find out what happens over a hundred volts travels through a pickle! Something else you might be wondering is why – why would we do that? We're going to learn about why somethings conduct electricity and other do not.

Summary

We're always told not to mix water and electricity, but this is science so we're going to find out for ourselves if it really is a bad idea. We will test how well water (and lots of other things) conduct electricity.

7) Add It Up! - *Series and Parallel*

Summary

What happens when you put WAY too much voltage through a motor (and other electric components)?
To find out, we first need to learn how to increase voltage until we have way too much!
We're going to learn what happens when we place batteries (and other things) in series and parallel.

8) Squishy Xplosions!? - *Circuits*

Week #8 (Mar 18 to 22) 8th Class

Make a Squishy Circuit to transform electricity into an Xplosion!

What to Bring

Summary

You can't end a course on electricity without using it to make an Xplosion! Squishy circuits, are circuits made using playdough. Normally your goal is to build a cute playdough creature that lights up, but we want to take our new knowledge to the Xtreme and see if we can use playdough, circuits, and a balloon full of LPG gas to make a huge explosion when we turn on our circuit!
